Safe Environment

We are committed to maintaining a safe environment

The Crosier Fathers and Brothers recognize that full and frank disclosure about sexual abuse is important to speed the healing process and empower unknown survivors to come forward and seek help. In this section, we have detailed our response to sexual abuse, including the many steps we have taken to fulfill our commitment to accountability, ensuring the safety of the people we serve.

To this end, anyone who has any information regarding instances of sexual abuse of a minor is strongly encouraged to report that information to the Survivor Assistance Coordinator at (320) 248-1563, Conventual Prior Thomas Enneking, osc, at (602) 443-7100 or Crosier Leadership.

In 2002, following a third-party investigation, the Crosiers released the names of eight Crosiers who had credible allegations of sexual abuse of a minor reported against them. In 2014, the Crosiers released an updated list of names to include current, former and deceased Crosiers with one or more credible claims of sexual abuse of minors.

On May 15, 2018, the Crosiers released a list of former or deceased Crosiers whose names were brought forward as a result of the Minnesota Child Victims Act or during the Crosiers’ Chapter 11 reorganization process. The Crosiers were not aware of claims of sexual abuse of a minor against these individuals prior to that time; therefore, they were not included in the previously published listings. This list was updated on December 2, 2019, to add the name of one additional Crosier (deceased since 1998) after an allegation was reported.

Because these individuals are deceased, there is no way to investigate these claims further. However, we are including these individuals as part of our commitment to transparency, accountability, and healing.
