Intercession

The national novena begins on July 10 and ends on her feast day, July 18.
When St. Odilia’s relics were returned to the Order, a large portion of one of her bones was brought to Onamia, Minnesota, and now rests in her Shrine there. It can be viewed by entering the Shrine, where it is encased in a marble reliquary.

Thousands of people, from every state, send in their petitions to be included in the novenas, and many letters of thanks are received from those whose favors have been granted.

St. Odilia is kept busy in heaven showering graces and blessings upon her friends!

Prayer to St. Odilia

Praise to you, O Christ, for the victory of your Glorious Cross.
Through the power of your death and resurrection,
be our champion over the evil that afflicts our bodies,
the errors of our minds, the confusion of our feelings,
the guilt of our consciences, the brokenness of our relationships,
and the weakness of our faith.
Make good our hope in you,
and restore us now and forever to your glory,
O Crucified and Risen Lord.

Healing Masses

Masses in honor of St. Odilia, Patroness of the Blind and Afflicted and Patroness of the Crosiers, are celebrated three times each year in Onamia (Healing Masses) and in Phoenix (Masses for the Sick).

In Onamia, a Healing Mass is held each year on the Sunday closest to St. Odilia’s July 18 Feast Day, in the midst of the annual national novena to St. Odilia. The Crosier filial priory at Onamia also offers Healing Masses during Advent and Lent.

The Crosier priory in Phoenix hosts a Mass for the Sick closest to the Feast Day of St. Odilia and at other times of the year.

These Masses are opportunities for pilgrims to come and celebrate the healing petitions and ministry that are the heart of this devotion. The sacrament of the anointing of the sick is celebrated for those with serious illnesses and the elderly, and at the end of Mass, personal blessings with the ancient relics of St. Odilia are offered.
