When asked how they each felt on this special day, Br. Marcos said, “I cannot describe how much peace I feel. My heart is complete and full of joy—an immense completeness.” Br. Paul shared, “I feel that the Crosiers are God’s gift to me. They are welcoming to all and call me confrere (brother). Now that I am professed, the Crosiers are my family officially. I am delighted to live the rest of my life as a Crosier.”
“We thank God for sending these two fine men to our international Order.” said Conventual Prior Tom Enneking, osc. “Br. Marcos and Br. Paul are a wonderful sacrament of our fraternal life, making visible and reminding us of the invisible grace of our charism to be brothers with one another and with those we serve around the world.”
Master General Laurentius Tarpin, osc, with the advice of his council, approved Br. Marcos and Br. Paul to make their solemn vows to the Order of the Holy Cross.
Br. Marcos was born in Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte city in Brazil, in 1987. He entered the Crosier novitiate Sept. 14, 2015, and professed his first vows Feb. 18, 2017.
